FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2017 31 Neighborhood Watch Steering Committee Last month the General Neighborhood Watch Meeting recognized and thanked Beaumont P.D. Josh Galbraith for his work in and around the city, and his continued loyalty and friendship to our community in keeping us updated on things going on around us. Josh has had to step down from his current position due to medical reasons. He will be missed, but be assured if we see him around town we will say something! Thanks to all who attended to make this a memorable occasion for him. We had a great turnout from the Beaumont and Banning Police, CHP, and support staff. Josh spoke about the need to keep your cars locked, the need for more block captains, and warned against giving money to panhandlers. Our own Al Gettman dressed as a homeless as an homage to Josh playing that role when he first started his assignment with us. We presented him with a cake with the Four Seasons logo – If we see something we will say something. Also Beaumont Mayor Pro Tem Nancy Carroll spoke on the beat cop, the importance of Neighborhood Watch and good community relations with our law Enforcement. The celebration was fun and memorable. See pictures above. Our thanks to CEO Mark Turner and the Board of San Gorgonio Hospital who came to discuss a local strategic initiative to open hospital-based clinics as alternatives to hospital transfers. This may affect those serviced by Beaver Medical Group, Kaiser or other users. Thanks to all who attended. We hope you found this informative. Mark your calendars for our May 10, 6 pm Special General Meeting in the Lodge Ballroom. The Beaumont City Manager will discuss the CDF/Bond/Facility Issues and how it will affect our residents and community. All are welcome! The June 14 meeting at 10 am will feature a VP from Loma Linda, their pharmacy and staff, along with CHP and a Public Information Officer to tell us about what they do in the community and answer any questions you may have for them. We are always open to suggestions and ideas for new guest speakers. Please give us your feedback.
