May seems to be a time for remembering some very important people, starting on Friday, May 5 at 10 am at the Lodge for the Memorial Garden Dedication. Please join us for a short program remembering our precious two HOA Board members, Jim Russell and Jean Sandoval. I know I don't need to mention it but, another important person that we all remember this month is our dear old moms. It's always a good time to take inventory of all of the ways that our mothers invested in our lives. I'm grateful that my mother is still alive and I'm able to call her on the phone. If you are fortunate enough to still have your mother, do something a little extra special. If your mother is no longer here, be sure to send a big love-hug out into the universe, it's bound to find some lonely mother out there, to stick on to and encourage…. who knows, maybe it could work that way. Next let's not forget Memorial Day, May 29, and those dedicated folks who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the armed forces. Take a minute from your barbecuing to remember that many gave much for the freedom of this country. Why not also thank some of our living veterans for their service as well? Enough of this wistful memory making and on to the happier things of May, like the upcoming PG-55 + Show. This show is always worth the entrance fee of zero dollars… in fact it's so good that they should charge! There are tickets involved however and you need to pick one up at the Lodge Front Desk to attend your preferred showing for either Friday, May 19 at 6:30 pm or Saturday, May 20 at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be available for pickup starting Monday, May 15 at the Lodge and only 300 tickets will be available for each showing. Set-up will be theater style seating (meaning no tables) so please eat before coming to the show. You may bring in your favorite beverage, but absolutely no Bistro delivery during the show. Another neat opportunity for you this month is the Writer's Club Workshop in the Ballroom at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 23. This workshop is being offered by their new club captain, Karla Noonan. Karla is a published author and speaker and will get you all inspired with your own writing aspirations. This should help jump-start you in writing those interesting memoirs you've always wanted to write or that your kids have always wanted you to write for posterity. There is no fee to attend. Finally, bring your smartest music trivia brain and join us for a hilariously funny evening of the Four Seasons version of Name that Tune! Michael Rothberg and Colin Taylor will lead us all into memory jogging musical mayhem. A good time will be had by all and dinners and beverages are very welcome at this event. Prizes will even be given away too! Once again, no charge for this event. 16 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2017 Activities Director Corner By Cindy Graves, Activities Director MAY 6 Paint Night 6 Memorial Garden Dedication 13 Karaoke 19-20 PAC Show 21 Amphitheater Concert JUNE 9 Art Fair 10 Karaoke 16 Line Dance Party 19 Juneteenth Event 25 Amphitheater Concert JULY 1 Heart & Soul Event 4 4th of July Celebration 8 Karaoke 16 Amphitheater Concert 22 Summer Fun Dance AUGUST 12 Karaoke 19 SC Fashion Show 20 Amphitheater SEPTEMBER 2 AACC Jazz Under the Stars 9 Karaoke 17 Amphitheater Grand Finale 22 PAC Radio Show OCTOBER 7 Craft Boutique 14 Garage Sale/Karaoke 18 Tennis Banquet 20-21 PAC Show 28 SC Event NOVEMBER 11 Veterans Day 12 Karaoke 17 Line Dance Party DECEMBER 1 & 2 Holiday Extravaganza 8 Ballroom Dance Christmas 9 AACC Christmas Dance 12 Holiday Magic Show 14 Wine Club Holiday Formal 31 SC New Years Eve 2017
