Votes in the election for the HOA Board were counted on April 25
and announced at the 2017 Annual HOA Meeting on April 27 – too
late for inclusion in this month's Breeze.
Incumbent Jerry Monahan was unopposed on the ballot, and
barring a successful write-in campaign, he was expected to be
elected.
The five homeowner members of the Board are elected for two-
year terms. President Len Tavernetti, Vice President Jeanne Glanville,
Secretary Fred Weck and Chief Financial Officer Claudeen Diaz all
have a year left in their terms. Builder K. Hovnanian Homes appoints
two members, presently Kevin Metcalfe and R. J. Hernandez. Their
seats will remain appointive until build-out, when all members will
be elected from among homeowners.
Originally it was planned to have two measures to amend the
CC&Rs included in the Board election mailing. However, on advice
of legal counsel, the Board decided to present the amendments in a
separate election, to be held in the next few months.
The amendments would do away with both cumulative voting
on community-wide ballots and the district delegate method of
electing Board members. The decision to delay the amendment vote
was made after the April Breeze deadline, so stories on the election
incorrectly said they were on the ballot.
Results of the Board election will be in the June Breeze.

this September, and continue through December. Also, around
that same time, K. Hovnanian will to begin working on the bridge
to finally connect Four Seasons Circle at Crooked Creek.
