58 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2017
Ride on March 1: Temecula via Palomar Observatory had lunch at
Rainbow Oaks Restaurant. Rather windy but great day.
Ride on March 9: Seven rode to San Clemente via Ortega Hwy., the
weather was excellent and so was lunch at the Fisherman's Restaurant
and Bar in San Clemente.
Ride on March 16: Eleven riders went on a ride to Temecula via
Sage, Benton, and De Portola then had lunch at Texas Lil's.
Ride on March 23: We cancelled the ride due to rain.
Ride on March 30: One of the best we've had in months, the desert
made its contribution in the form of the best super bloom we've ever
seen. The passion for riding was evidence to the fact that three of the
riders had just been to Borrego last weekend and three more of the
riders had been to Borrego in the last month. After an outstanding
lunch at Carmelita's, we started back home and the wind decided to
join our ride, did I mention the WIND, 60 plus mile per hour gusts
over the Pass provided lots of exciting fun and entertainment for all.
We concluded the trip with a by-pass to Idyllwild where we shared a
bitter sweet good bye with our friends Ted and Debbie. They head
back to Chama, NM Sunday and hopefully they will return next fall
for rides with the group. Special thanks to Ron Morgan for pointing
out that Jim had to make a stop to get something out of his eye, I think
it was tears of joy. Info., Steve, (951) 769-8004. ~ Steve Sarchett
