26 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2017 | TGIF It's not just Cinco de Mayo — It's TGIF featuring a live band with no cover! Shades of Sound is a pop rock vocal 60s cover band and they have graciously offered to play for TGIF on Fri., May 5. We can't thank them enough for their generosity! Gary Lewis, a great neighbor here in Four Seasons, is on keyboard! The following is a snippet off their Facebook page: The band is a re-birth of the garage band Mike, Gary and myself were in from the sixties. Yup, we do 60s covers and why not? The songs were short, were catchy… were danceable, and made you feel wonderful! The decade produced six new Top 40 songs a week. That's 300 new songs a year times 10 years equaling 3,000 songs from which to choose. I believe you will like our choices. We don't stick with any particular band and play a variety of fun and danceable songs. Ballroom doors open at 5 pm. There will be raffles, two tickets for $1. BYOR, utensils and dancing shoes! Please bring a dish to share for 8-10 people. We will see you there! Bring your neighbors and meet new ones. Chula Vista Marina RV Resort - Chula Vista, CA - Five nights, arriving April 30 and departing May 5. The cost will be $257 total. We believe we will also have the use of the actual clubhouse (not a tent). Linda Wetter is in charge of collecting the fee. Utah National Parks – September 2017 – Here is the initial plan: We'll visit Zion National Park; Bryce Canyon National Park; Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Parks. There will be stopovers in route in Mesquite, Nevada; St George, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada. We need to get an idea of how many might be on this journey and try to work out an itinerary. Ramona Oaks RV Resort – Ramona, CA – Five nights, arriving June 12 and departing June 16. Ann and I visited this park recently and were not very impressed. We'll give you our opinions at the meeting. There are no dues associated with membership in the Happy Campers… However we do collect for the Hemet Valley Food Pantry and your continued support of this worthy cause by bringing non-perishable canned or packaged food items to our monthly meetings is appreciated. ~ Bob Oxley Happy Campers RV Club Live music and dancing in the Ballroom on the third Friday of the month from 6:30- 9:30 pm.
