| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | May 2017 | 27 Karaoke Hi everybody and welcome to the new and improved karaoke corner; UNBELIEVABLE! As I mentioned in last month's Herald, I have been expecting patent approval on the new top secret KR2000, to start karaoke again. So the other night the phone rings, and it's a deep voiced man with a heavy Russian accent. He asks me if I am Vilmos Aushdonsk, the inventor of the Super Sonic Karaoke Rotation-O-Matic, and I said… maybe. Now the only one I know with a Russian accent is Sam, the guy across the street from me, and he calls me "Beeel," so I knew it wasn't him. So the deep voiced Russian asks me when I will be test firing the new "Japanese rotating microwave ray gun?" I told him it wasn't a ray gun, and where was he getting his information. He said the plans were leaked by the United States Patent office and now the Russians have stolen the design and are spreading a lot of "Fake News" about the KR2000. I called the U.S. patent office to ask what was happening with my patent, and the lady said, the Russians were trying to patent it also, wasn't germane to my patent process. "Ay Yah Carumba," I replied, how did the Germans get involved in this too? She yelled at me to stop swearing at her in Spanish and slammed down the phone. So now nobody answers the phone at the patent office, or the Russian embassy. I had no idea that "Ay Yah Carumba" was a swear word, and to think I just about named the KR2000, the AY Yah Carumba karaoke rotator. That would have been really embarrassing. This karaoke session could be explosive. So anyway, I left a message at the Russian embassy that we will be test firing the new KR2000 on Sun., June 11, in the Ballroom at 2 pm. Bring goodies, no trench coats please… and maybe you'd better wear a hard hat. ~ VILMOS Iceland Aurora Borealis Cruising Along Passau Germany Travel Club The Travel Club meets the third Thursday of each month in the Ballroom at the Lodge.
