FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2017 23 Architectural review Committee The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is a key panel at Four Seasons-Beaumont. ARC makes decisions on every home in the community involving landscaping or changes to homeowners' front and back yards. It is an awesome responsibility placed upon committee homeowners who volunteer their time. ARC currently seeks Four Seasons homeowners who may be interested in serving our community. To give you a better understanding of ARC, each of our members has written what they enjoy most about being an ARC member. Please take a moment to review their responses. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, we ask you to consider becoming a member of the ARC team. Since you have retired do you find you now have some free time? Do you like to talk to people? Do you enjoy exchanging landscaping and home project ideas with residents you meet? Do you wish to be part of the continuing effort to keep Four Seasons a highly-desirable place to live? If you have two Wednesday mornings a month to attend meetings to review resident property improvement plans and approximately four hours a month to perform on site reviews of completed work, and have answered 'yes' to the above questions, you should consider joining the Architectural Review Committee. We are an interactive committee that is having a positive impact on maintaining the future home values of our community." Gerry Bonnar-ARC team member "As a new member of ARC, I find this committee exciting and challenging. I am looking forward to meeting new homeowners, reviewing their landscape plans, and helping them comply with ARC guidelines to protect the beauty of our community that we all enjoy. I think this is a great committee to be involved with because as members, we can look around our neighborhoods and see the evidence of our input, what works and what doesn't work, what guidelines need to be modified and what guidelines need to stay firmly in place. The main goal of this committee is to keep our community beautiful and I am very happy to be involved to help meet that goal. ARC is a fun and active committee. If you are looking for a great committee to join, this is the one!" Barbara Mull-ARC team member "When my wife, Paulette, and I moved to Four Seasons Beaumont, I was interested in joining one of the committees. After attending just one of the Architectural Review Committee meetings, I knew it was the committee for me. When I was voted on, I received a very warm and friendly welcome from all of the nice people in the group. Being part of this team has given me the opportunity to go out into the community and meet many of the residents here at Four Seasons. I have enjoyed providing some guidance and help to homeowners. I feel that serving on this committee has been a very satisfying and rewarding personal experience and I would encourage and welcome new members to our group." Gary Sigritz-ARC team member "I was interested in becoming part of the ARC because I wanted to be part of a team that devotes itself to the preservation of our great community and that is what we do — our goal is to be sure the community remains aesthetically pleasing for all our neighbors. Sometimes not an easy task!" Marsha Gormley-ARC team member "I enjoy serving our community and knowing the volunteer work I do helps our HOA protect and maintain property values. It is such a pleasure to meet so many new homeowners and view their interesting and creative designs and concepts. As the current ARC Chairperson, I am passionate about training and mentoring new ARC members. It is my duty to be sure ARC is always fair and consistent to all our homeowners and that we follow our printed Guidelines and Standards in our decision making. Also it is a great pleasure to work with such caring and dedicated fellow ARC team members. We all share the same goal: doing what is best for our community." Brian Anderson-ARC team member. The ARC Committee meets the first and third Wednesday of each month in the RCN Boardroom at 8:30 am. We encourage you to join us, see what we do and the fun we have working as a team. Hopefully, you may conclude that ARC would be an enjoyable way to invest some of your time while serving our community. ~ Brian Anderson
