FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2017 47 Currently we are studying the Book of Revelation, its symbolism, interpretation and clarification. Since "Believe…" is a non- denominational study, there are many viewpoints expressed, and we all endeavor to stay away from speculation. It has been interesting to learn how the symbolism and realism in Revelation is pertinent for us today, and how world news enables us to see how the events in Revelation could easily happen in the near future. The bottom line to this study is that we need to be prepared and prayerful concerning our relationship with God. We should finish this study by the end of June, and begin a fun study of "Living Like a Superhero." Huh? (Come join us and you'll see what it's all about!) We are all looking forward to our June 2 Summer Social. We have reserved the Ballroom and will have a lesson first, followed by a potluck luncheon. The theme this year is "flowers," so we know the decorations will be colorful! The food is always amazing ~ because we have the best cooks on the planet in this group! If you have been looking to join a wonderful group of Christian women studying the Bible, please come join us any Friday at 10:30 am in the Lodge Game Room (next to the Library). This is a non- denominational study, and any version of the Bible is acceptable. We will greet you with open hearts and arms! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Life Guide Bible Study We will take a break during June, July, and August. We will resume weekly meetings with our annual fall potluck on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 6 pm. Specific details will be announced in the August Breeze. We invite interested residents to join us in sharing and learning from God's Word. We typically meet at 7 pm each Tuesday in the third section of the Ballroom from September through May. Please contact Doc or Letha Sellars with any questions or comments at (951) 797-3302 or docletha72@gmail.com. ~ Doc Sellars JUNE BBQ GATHERING The Four Seasons Chavurah (Ha- vu-rah), an informal social and cultural gathering group providing an opportunity for the community to connect to Judaism, welcomes all interested Four Seasons residents who want to participate in Judaism's culture and celebrations. In the next months, we have planned several outstanding events. In April, members attended a Passover Seder at Toni and Bob Finer's home, with a stimulating Hagaddah, delicious dinner, and warm camaraderie. Besides having the traditional foods, they created a modern version of the four questions. A lively discussion followed. May included a movie and snacks at the end of the month. A future potluck is planned to address the needs of the membership. The next Chavurah event will be Sunday, June 25 with our second annual BBQ gathering at the Four Season's Main Pool, 5 - 8:30 pm. The schedule is 5 pm set up (small refrigerator available), 5:30 – 8:30 pm swimming, with BBQ grilling starting at 6 pm. Sponsored by Nancy Justice, and Ernie and Dr. Zee Knapp, this promises to be another fabulous event. Look for the event flyer with more details available in the Lodge. Suggestions for potluck include: hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, steak, kabobs, veggies, corn on the cob, desserts, watermelon, chips & dips, NO shellfish or pork products. Condiments, plates, cups, relishes, ice will be provided. Bring your favorite drinks. Come for fun, delicious food, meet new friends, and bring your new ideas for future events for the Four Seasons Chavurah. Members of the Chavurah also enjoy social, cultural and religious get-togethers, with connections to other organizations in and around the community. On June 2 and 3, Temple Emanu-El, Redlands, will have special Friday night and Saturday morning services for Rabbi Sherwood's farewell, as he and his family leave the congregation for a new pulpit. Etz Hadar, conservative congregation, Redlands, has Saturday morning services in June, and Temple Beth Am, Reform congregation in San Jacinto, meets Friday evenings in June with lively potluck Oneg Shabbats following services. Contact Emanu-El at (909) 307-0400; Etz Hadar at (909) 225-7009 Temple Beth Am at (951) 443-2200. The Jewish Social Club (Chavurah) welcomes all Four Seasons residents who want to connect to Judaism, its culture and celebrations. For more information about these events and to be put on our email list, please contact us at chavurah.time@aol.com, or talk to a social committee person, Nancy Justice (951) 769-5804, or Dr. Zee & Ernie Knapp, (714) 423-4755. ~ Nancy Justice, Dr. Zee 'Rachel' & Ernie Knapp Chavurah Jewish Social Club Intercessory Prayer group Greeting from the Intercessory Prayer Group! We invite you to join us in the Lodge on Monday, June 5, in the Game Room, at 9 am. We meet each month to pray for our family church, neighborhood, city and nation. We are bound together in love, agreement, and unity. Unity is more than shared truth, it is having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. This is why we meet and what we have in common. When people are united and agree something special happens, love flows, joy brings peace, and prayers answered. Come and experience the love. Come and be a part of our group, men are welcome. You can reach me at eaglewatchwb@aol.com. ~ Cookie Bonner
