56 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2017 The Dog Owners Group continues to grow in popularity. We have an active Facebook page at Four Seasons D.O.G. We have been successful in rounding up strays within our community, finding accommodations for dogs that need to be re- homed, and providing resources for responsible dog ownership here at Four Seasons. If you see an unattended dog within the Four Seasons community please call Martha at (951) 295-7209. We will then begin the process of finding the dog, taking it into our possession, and finding the owner. We have a group of volunteers who are on our search team. We have a high success rate in capturing strays at Four Seasons and returning them to their owners, many of whom are from outside of Four Seasons, or finding a new home for them. Exploration of a fenced off-leash area for dogs is featured as part of the Board of Directors Action Plan for this fiscal year. The Dog Owners Group steering Committee has been meeting with the HOA's Planning and Transition Committee to formulate a specific proposal for presentation to the Board of Directors. Other initiatives are being explored at this time to make animal ownership at Four Seasons even more comprehensive and exciting. Our next membership meeting is July 19 at 7 pm in RCN 3. Saturday morning pack walks every week leave from the Spa Building parking lot at 8 am. Wednesday evening pack walks every week leave from the Summit parking lot at 6 pm. Membership information and questions should be directed to Patrick at dog_owners@yahoo.com. ~ Patrick Gerety D.O.G. Meet Duncan Gunnarson, a 6-year- old Golden Doodle. After searching on line, Mom and Dad Sandra and Dennis, selected Duncan, only to learn that he was born in Dallas, TX. Their adventure started from the time they picked him up from his flight at LAX. Immediately, Duncan became a local celebrity in the Long Beach neighborhood of Belmont Shore where they lived. Daily walks were often interrupted by people stopping their cars or coming out of restaurants and stores to ask if they could take his picture, and even have their picture taken with him! Duncan continues to enjoy walks here in Four Seasons, where he greets everyone he meets as his new best friend. His great personality is a joy to the Gunnarson family and all their friends. ~ Alex Woodcock Photo credit: Alex Woodcock, Alexpressions Photography D.O.G. OF THE MONTH
