FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2017 21 Lodge Committee The Lodge Committee continues to stay busy with new ideas, more projects and problems to solve. We are proud to announce that Barbara Dipoma is our newest member, but sad to report that Bob Brandon has resigned. We will miss him a lot. At the last Board of Directors meeting, two proposals were passed. One for new blinds for the old conference room and the other is for automatic door openers for the two restrooms located by the Library and on one of the doors leading into the Ballroom. Look for these new items in the near future. Our movie theater group is proud to announce that the total number of movie-goers has increased. There was a packed house for the movie Fences shown the last week of April. We love receiving requests from the residents for movies and try our best to fill those requests-so keep them coming. The Library has had a few changes including rearranging several sections, bringing the popular titles to lower shelves for easy access, and freeing up space by eliminating certain subjects that are never read. Our committee is so appreciative to the wonderful residents who help in both the Movie Theater and the Library. We don't know what we would do without them. The Bistro has two parking places now, located directly outside the kitchen door, making home deliveries and unpacking food purchases much faster. However, it has been brought to our attention that residents and guests have been parking in this new space. Please do not park here as these are only for Bistro staff. Speaking of the Bistro, the Board of Directors agreed with the Lodge Committee that the Bistro needs to increase the seating capacity. They are allowing the Bistro to use the old conference room, but decided certain hours would need to be upheld. The hours are posted and are as: Tuesday - Friday, 11 am - 2 pm, Tuesday - Friday 4 pm - close, and Saturday and Sunday all day. We meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month and love to have visitors, so please join us. Our next meeting will be June 28 at 11 am in the RCN Conference Room. ~ Jill Anderson The Rules & Regulations Committee was in record-breaking territory at the meeting on April 11. In addition to two committee members, Jeanne Zarr, Board Liaison, and Jeri Mupo, FirstService Residential Manager, 29 guests attended the meeting. There has been great interest in the community regarding possible changes to the CC&Rs. The main topics of those who spoke centered on several concerns; the main issues were allowing guests to be unaccompanied, extending pool hours for children, allowing guests in additional areas of the Lodge and Summit and providing a distinction between adult and child guests. The decision of the Committee was to provide homeowners with a survey to determine the level of interest in making any changes to the CC&Rs. Jeri Mupo prepared this survey which was sent via email. Jeri advised that Recreation Center #3 will be completed in early June. We will make recommendations for the rules governing this facility and a homeowner survey may be conducted. We also welcomed Barbara Morton as a new member of the Committee. Several other homeowners have expressed an interest in becoming members. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 9 am in the RCN Conference Room. As always, we encourage guests to attend and express their opinions. We are happy to see that our fellow residents take the governing of our community so seriously! ~ Margie Chadburn Rules & Regulations committee
