Billiards for Fun
The Billiards for Fun Group is just that: FUN! Some great people
have joined our group! It's so much fun to hear: "Who cares? This is
Billiards for FUN!" Because, bottom line, it IS fun! The people make
it fun (even though the game can be frustrating and exhilarating at
the same time). There are always frustrated grunts and groans, but
most of the time there is encouragement, laughter and good-natured
banter.
On May 16 we held our BFFG quarterly tournament. However,
because the due date for this article was a week before the tournament
date, you're going to have to wait with bated breath until July's article
to find out the winners. On June 19 we will hold our bi-annual
tournament against the ever-improving Curly Cues. (Eventually
the BFFG won't be given any handicaps). So, that's a whole lot of
suspense for you readers!
Once again we are celebrating our newest members: Richard and
Barbara Dipoma joined our group a couple of months ago, as well as
Michael Rothberg. (See above photos of our newest members).
Yes, we're growing, which is why we have two sessions on Tuesdays:
11 am to 1 pm OR 1 to 3 pm in the Lodge Billiards Room. We usually
use all four tables, so the attendance is well-balanced and lots of fun.
There also is an informal practice on Saturdays at the same time slots
for anyone who wants to practice. C'mon out and join us. If you don't,
