48 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2017 | Happy Father's Day. This month we celebrate all the dads. Having lost my dad this year, I am so happy for the years I had with him. Even though he is gone I will always have the memories deep in my heart. This month we also celebrate charity week. Try to attend one of the events. By attending one of these events you are helping the less fortunate in the pass area. Our next meeting and caregivers support group will be on Thurs., June 15 at 10 am in the Multipurpose Room. These meetings are not only educational for you, the caregiver, but are also a support group for you. All caregivers are welcome at these meetings. You do not have to be caring for a person with Memory Loss to attend. We are here to support and educate you, plus entertain your loved one while you are attending the meeting. Our guest speaker this month will be Jennifer Trebler from the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice. She will explain the benefits of hospice and what you should expect from your hospice team. Hospice is paid for 100 percent by Medicare. Important meeting, try not to miss this one. During this meeting your loved one is welcome in the Arts and Craft Room for games, exercises and an hour of live entertainment. Once again I have to thank Valerie Hubbard for entertaining us in May. I also want to thank Lee Munday for her generous donation of our Memory Care Cat. Our group has named her Joanie. If you have any questions and would like to learn more about Memory Loss, we have reading material we can loan you. Call Diane, 769-0130 or Anne, 845-8700. Remember, we are here to help.
