Cruzin' Cronies is a Classic Car Club that meets the first Saturday of each month. Members display their cars at 8 am in the Main Clubhouse parking lot, and then meet briefly in the Multipurpose Room at 8:30 am. During the meeting, members discuss cars for sale in this area, and all around Southern California. They plan group trips to various venues, and car shows many of them have attended or plan to attend. After the meeting, members go out for breakfast to enjoy each other's company. Coming up is Top-Line Industrial Supply Company's 5th Annual Charity Car and Bike Show from 9:30 am to 3 pm on June 24. All car models, foreign and domestic, are welcome to attend. Net proceeds from the event will benefit Carol's Kitchen in Beaumont. The event is free to the public. Over 100 cars, bikes, trucks, and project vehicles will be displayed. Many cars owned by Cruzin' Cronies members will be there. There will also be raffles, music, vendors, and refreshments for sale. Trophies will be awarded to the top 10 winners. In the Photo Group, we like to stick to our traditions so here is one of our favorites: The end of spring BBQ. Our normal meetings are in the Sun Lakes Main Clubhouse at 7 pm on the second Monday of the month but the BBQ picnic will be in the North Clubhouse at 6 pm on June 12. It will be potluck and there are grills so you can cook your favorite steaks or hot dogs. The group will not meet again until Sept. 11. This means that there will be a hiatus. So, July and August try to take some great photos of summer or your vacation. You can bring up to five of your pictures to the September meeting. Remember you can e-mail them or bring them on a disc or flash drive. If you have seen our discussions on the "Rule of Thirds" try using that for your pictures.
