We have some exciting events coming up, so get ready to mark your calendars. But first, the wine tasting event was held on Sun., April 9 at the North Clubhouse. Our group enjoyed wines supplied by John Selvaggio from Angelini Trading Company. Eight different wines were tasted which included Prosecco, two whites, four reds and a sparkling Moscato. There were food pairings for each wine presented. Attendees were also tested on their knowledge of wine with a wine trivia game during the course of the afternoon. What a better way to spend an afternoon than wine tasting with friends! June is dark. However, there will be entertainment on the veranda "Music Under the Stars" on June 17, from 6 to 9 pm with Tony Lopez. Young at Heart will have their usual spot, so come and join us. Bring an appetizer to share. Look for our tables and golf carts on the driving range. July 27, Duffy Boats: Back by popular demand is our Duffy Boat ride trip to Newport Bay. If you haven't participated in this event in the past, be ready for a fun-filled day. Riding a Duffy electric boat is the perfect way to enjoy a Thursday afternoon with friends. Each boat has a full canopy to protect you from the sun. Bring your own beer, wine or soda, and snacks for the boat ride. Cost is $55 pp which includes bus transportation, boat ride and a dinner at the Elks Club. This trip is on a first come, first serve basis and is limited to a maximum of 56 persons. Come join us at the North Clubhouse for our LIMBO LUAU from 5 to 9 pm and a splash in the pool before hand on Sat., Aug. 5. Mark your calendar for our grand event to be held on Sept. 24. This event will be a party with the KILLER DUELING PIANOS, a Vegas style event in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 4 to 7 pm. This event is open to ALL Sun Lakes residents and their guests. Appealing to all ages. The Killer Dueling Pianos will have you clapping, singing and laughing with their special brand of entertainment. They have a catalog of songs ranging from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Everyone is sure to have a fun time. There will be table seating in the round and appetizers available for purchase. Cost is $17.50 pp. Look for flyers at the Main Clubhouse lobby. Don't miss out and tell your friends.
