54 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2017 | Home Again Bowling The final curtain has come down for our Sun Lakers Wednesdays bowling league. We are now homeless as Moreno Valley Bowl will no longer be open mornings. Team six, "Recycled Teens," has repeated as champions! Darlena Stevens, Joe Lawrence and Jim McCallum took the honors, with team seven, "The Old & The Restless" as runners up. Jeff Burris, Bob McEwen, Gail Daniello and Betsy Zalewski could not catch the "Teens" in the final three weeks. The champs along with all the other teams will be finding new teammates for the future seasons at various locations. Good luck to all our bowlers! Our sweepstakes were rolled on April 26, and the winners were team four, "God Help Us," with a wonderful 2713 handicap series total. Frank Mashburn rolled games of 235, 215, and 246 for a 696 scratch series and a 759 with handicap! Way to go anchorman!
