16 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | JUNE 2017
Fiesta de Solera… Where's the piñata?
A beginning Tai Chi class will start Friday, June 16 at
6 pm with an introduction for new students. Instructor
Tim Jahns will present a class overview and invite
participation, to allow people to find out more about the
class and decide if it's right for them. The regular class
will meet every Friday from 6 to 7 pm in the Stonecreek
Room of the Lodge.
Tai Chi is a slow-motion, meditative practice with
many benefits for health, including improved focus,
balance and energy, self-awareness, and achieving a
calmer state of mind. Through low-impact movements,
breathing and concentration, this traditional Chinese
exercise can enhance your energy and clarity. The class
consists of warm-ups and stretching, training in the Yang
style Tai Chi form, and Chi Gung practice that combines
relaxation and breathing to increase vital energy.
Instructor Tim Jahns has taught Tai Chi for Claremont
Colleges, the city of Irvine and other institutions. Those
who are interested can sign up for the introduction at the
front desk of the Lodge or simply attend the class on June
16. For info., call instructor Tim Jahns - 951.305.6556.
