38 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2017 | Dinner Dance Club A special thank you to all our members for contributing to another successful year. As you know, July is the month to renew your membership for the 2017/2018 year, and we will be holding our Annual Meeting on Thurs., July 20 in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. If you have questions or just want to make suggestions for improving the club, please plan to attend. We are always looking for new members to serve on our Board and urge you to step up, volunteer, and help guide the future of our great club. You may contact any of our current Board members and let them know you are interested in serving. The meeting will commence at 2:30 pm. Annual membership is $100 per couple or $50 per individual and is due no later than July 31. Payment of your annual membership may be accomplished by any of the following means: Bring your check and completed membership application to the Annual Meeting if you plan to attend; Drop off your check and membership application in the box by the front door at 4833 Rolling Hills Avenue. Drop off your check and membership application at the same time you drop off your check for your July Dance attendance in the box located on the gate at 782 Torrey Pines Road. However, please do not combine the meal selection check and membership check. Write separate checks for membership and July's food selection. Sign ups for July's dance will be accepted between July 1 - 13, and remember to include your table request. July's dance will be held on Sat., July 22, and the popular group, Generations, will again provide our musical entertainment. Doors open at 5:30 pm and dinner will be served at 6 pm. We will still be enjoying our "dressy casual" summer attire so come on out and kick up your heels with the Club. We have the following great meal selections for your enjoyment. We will start the evening with a Caesar salad and warm dinner rolls. The entrées are: 1) Half Roasted Chicken $23.50; 2) Sole Piccata $23.25. Both entrées are served with mashed potatoes and Chef 's Choice veggies; 3) Vegetarian Lasagna $22. We have delicious cheesecake with raspberry drizzle for dessert! Come join us for a great evening! International Dancers When selling tickets for our annual show, we mention that a portion of the proceeds is donated to local charities. We want you to know that in supporting us you are also making a difference to others. What others? Some current and past recipients of donations from ID are Sun Lakes Charity Week, Sun Lakes 30th Anniversary celebration, Soroptomist House of Hope in Banning, The Pantry in Banning, House of Decision in Cherry Valley, and Banning Dollars For Scholars. We have provided cash grants to four college-bound Banning High School graduates. Plan to come out on Nov. 4 and 5 to enjoy our Festival Of Dances And National Costumes. Ticket sales begin Oct. 2. You will have a good time and a portion of the monies raised from the show, 50/50 and raffle ticket sales will benefit our local community.
