As our community matures and our homes continue to increase in value, the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) thanks all who have, and continue to, maintain their homes and landscape in such a lovely manner. It is our combined efforts as residents that keep our goal of a top shape appearance for Four Seasons and helps our property values to continue to rebound and increase. The ARC continues to see major investment in our community including the addition of solar systems, upgraded landscaping, new patio covers, replacement of gates, and repainting, among others. Since our homes are now approaching ten or more years old, continued maintenance will be needed to keep the high-quality image we have come to expect within Four Seasons. With this goal in mind, some things for you to consider include: • Re-staining your wooden fences if not re-stained within the past three years. Remember not to spray stain since it can spray between the narrow cracks and damage your neighbor's property. • Repainting your home if not repainted since new. Notice does need to be given to the ARC regarding any new painting. • Look at your wooden trim, shutters, and front and garage door – have they faded (especially if your home faces south or west)? If the stucco still looks fresh consider just repainting the trim, shutters, and front and garage door. • Is your original wooden gate still in good shape? Many homeowners have chosen to replace their sagging gates. • Take a careful look at your front landscaping. Is this the image you would like to project to the community? Is trimming and/or weeding needed? Would the addition of some new and/or refreshed plantings and/or flowers enhance the image of your home? • If your trees have grown beyond 15 feet, it is time to trim and shape them. Trees should be routinely trimmed annually after reaching this height (including removing dead palm fronds). Pine trees can be trimmed every three years. • Have a few too many decorations crept into your yard, or landed on your plant shelf? Remember that three decorative items visible from the street are the maximum allowed in the community. Remember that exterior changes to your home and landscape do need ARC approval.
