JULY in Solera Diamond Valley Tuesday, July 4, 11 am - 3 pm: Fourth of July Celebration & BBQ $20 pp Join us in the back patio for an afternoon of fun, games and delicious BBQ food to celebrate our independence! Activities include musical guest Michael Britton, an ice shaving station, various games and a dunk tank! I myself will be volunteering to take the plunge; those of you also wishing to participate (maybe a board member?) please sign up at the front desk! We need at least eight volunteers. Beverages provided include beer, wine and soda. This event is going to be loads of fun to kick start your independence day! ~ RB Monday, July 10, 10 - 11 am: Doc Talk, Free Come and learn from Dr. Memon about insomnia, sleep apnea and other factors related to sleep issues that plague many seniors. There will be time for open Questions & Answers. Complimentary continental breakfast will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there! Tuesday, July 18, 8 am - 6:30 pm: Reagan Library & Titanic Exhibit, $83 pp Enjoy a docent tour and see highlights of the life of our 40th President and his first lady Nancy in this 153,000 sq. foot building, with a special Titanic Exhibit featuring real artifacts with real stories of the people on board the ill-fated ship. Some highlights of the exhibit include: A deck chair from the Titanic (only one of eight known to exist), sheet music for "Narcissus," the music the violinist played as the ship was sinking, a pocket watch that is stopped at 1:50 pm from an unknown third class victim and much more! On your docent tour, you will also see motion picture films, videotapes, and 75,000 gifts the Reagan's received while President, an Oval Office replica, along with the burial site of the President. A wonderful buffet lunch, under the wings of Air Force One, is also included at the Reagan Library! To make this event more special we will be serving our signature drink called the "Blue Hawaiian." DJ Dave Cuda will provide entertainment and we will have delicious BBQ pulled pork sandwiches with homemade macaroni salad! No glassware allowed. ~ RB Friday, July 28, 5:30 - 8:30 pm: Music under the stars $10 pp Join us for an evening of music and fun in the back patio featuring "Showdown." This is the second of our three music under the star events and one you don't want to miss! So put on your dancing shoes, grab your wine, and join us in the back patio for an evening of socializing and dancing! Wine may be provided if the required number of people attend or BYOB.
