28 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2017 STAG: Senior Transportation Assistance Group Interest Group We are so excited that STAG had another successful monthly training trip to Morongo on June 8. Everyone agrees we had a great time, and we all especially enjoyed bonding at the free buffet. Our success means that trips are filling up quickly. The July 13 trip was completely full and we already are taking reservations for both August and September! Don't wait to make your reservation! These trips include a free tour and buffet at Morongo. Please contact us and be sure to include the following information when emailing or leaving a voice mail about our Morongo trips: Date of trip you want and, for each participant, the following details: name(s); birth year; phone number; email address; and Morongo Rewards card holder status. You will receive a confirmation and instruction sheet as soon as we receive your complete reservation request. Our Morongo trips aren't the only excitement for STAG! In June, we heard from two representatives from The Lakes. Peter Bonnelli, Assisted Facility Director, and Lori Matsushita, Community Relations Director, came to share information about this nearby facility. We are most grateful for their time and the great presentation. We especially thank Bonnelli for giving up a day of his vacation to do this for us. We are making plans for interested Four Seasons residents to tour of The Lakes Assisted Care Facility together. As usual, T-Now of the Riverside Transit Agency is hosting their meetings with free lunch on the first Thursday of every month at the Beaumont Civic Center at noon. RSVP to Brenda Teeman. Beaumont Pass Transportation is now holding a Travel Training Trip by Train to Union Station in Los Angeles on Thursdays, July 13, Aug. 10, and Sept. 14. For questions or reservations please call Beaumont Pass Transit at (951) 769-8530 or email info@PassTransit. com. STAG will resume its regular meeting schedule on the third Thursday of the month starting on Oct. 19. We are hoping to present Max Calder, Community Service Manager of Banning and Lisa Almilli, Mobility Manager of Riverside Transit at our October meeting. We are working to make this a free luncheon gathering and, if we can arrange this, attendance will be by reservation only. STAG wishes you all a great summer and we hope to see you in October or on one of our trips. We are working to expand our topics for STAG to include other senior challenges. Anyone with suggestions for our programs should call or email us. We continue to focus on securing Kaiser Permanente services in the Pass area as one of our priorities, but would like very much to hear your additional ideas.
