FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2017 55 Our June/July tournaments didn't happen as planned due to facility problems both at the Lodge and the Summit venues, as well as vacations taken by key tournament officials. So, our tournaments have been rescheduled to commence upon the finish of upgrades to our new Summit venue. I'll not speculate on when that will be, but hopefully in July of this year. Our monthly social, consisting of dinner at The Bistro followed by dessert at a member's home, was hosted by Kris and Mike Corbett. A homemade banana split ice cream cake, that was so good, was followed by spirits and good conversations by all. It was a most enjoyable evening. Thanks Kris and Mike; you are super hosts. We've had a few rough weeks lately with our Summit venue torn up and trying to get the old Lodge venue playable again, but our motto is "play on" and that's exactly what we've been doing. So, if you want to join a real fun and resilient group, you've found us. We currently play every Wednesday morning at 8: am at The Lodge horseshoe venue. It is a great time to hook up the RV and get out of Dodge. We are planning some cool spots to get away to, and would love to have you join us. We were recently in Paso Robles and Flying Flags. Next will be an Oregon adventure, Chula Vista, Pismo and more. If you are looking for some interesting vacation spots and good company and don't know how to get started, come to one our meetings. Wish you were here. ~ Lynn Forrester June was a great ride in the backroads to Idyllwild, with eight Jeeps (pictured above)! We had lunch in Idyllwild and headed home. When we go on the back roads where those Jeeps go, we really venture out from the highways and see a lot of beautiful sites. We have great leaders and everyone helps each other, which makes a really fun and interesting time. If you are interested in learning more about our group, please join us for our meeting, which is held the second Tuesday of the month 7 pm at the Lodge. Our monthly trip is usually the third Thursday of every month. We meet in the north parking lot of the Lodge at 8 am. Anyone with a four-wheel-drive vehicle is welcome.
