44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2017 W6FSB Radio Club The W6FSB Radio Club members have a common interest in amateur radio, and have joined together with those of similar interests to pursue amateur radio and to support the Four Seasons' community. It is our purpose to promote radio knowledge, operating efficiency and enjoyment of the science of radio technology. We also provide support for the residents of our community during times of emergency. For the continued promotion of radio knowledge, we provide periodic technical workshops and share in the wealth of knowledge from the experiences of various members. The club is open to all residents and homeowners within our community. You do not need to be a licensed amateur operator to join, but just show an interest in the knowledge and use of radio operations or the desire to update your knowledge of radio technology. The Four Seasons FRS Net is held each Wednesday at 5:45 pm on Channel 3, no privacy code. The Amateur Radio 2 meter Net is held immediately after at 6 pm, on a simplex frequency of 145.645 MHz. All non-member residents are welcome and encouraged to check into the Net as a visitor after our regular roll call. The Four Seasons at Beaumont Radio Club meets at 10 am in the Lodge on the last Friday of each month. Please visit our website at www.w6fsb.com. ~ Alfred Blair We are back from our break beginning Aug. 7, at 3 pm in the Ballroom (or other place if Ballroom is not available). We meet every Monday at 3 pm for rehearsal. We will warm up our voices and start to prep for our October Way Off Broadway Show and the December Holiday Show. It usually takes us a couple of weeks to warm up again, so this is a good chance for anyone thinking about joining the choir to go ahead and jump in. This is a warm, accepting club to join and the singing also provides health benefits. To join or if you have questions about the Four Seasons Singers, call (951) 797-3466 or email me at bawasco@dc.rr.com. ~ Barbara Wasco Four Seasons Singers Amphitheater The Summer Concert Series rolls into August with the spotlight on the Kelly Rae Band. This six-member band is based in Southern California and has been performing for more than a decade. The emphasis is on country/ western musical favorites such as Willie Nelson, Brooks and Dunn, Charlie Daniels, Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. Not overlooked are contemporary counterparts such as Keith Urban, Garth Brooks and La,dy Antebellum. Just to keep the energy in high gear, musical favorites from performers such as Linda Ronstadt, ABBA, Tina Turner, and P!nk will be included. So join in the fun and wear your most memorable cowboy/girl hat, boots or fabulous cowboy/girl shirt. We would like to separate the "dudes" from the true cowpokes. As always, remember to bring a wrap for warmth as it gets quite cool once the sun goes down. If you bring liquid refreshment, all bottles need to be in a sleeve; and not glassware. If you place your chairs on the concrete/grass risers, please leave enough space, both in the front and behind your chairs for folks to sit on the concrete "benches." You also have the option of placing your chairs in the central lawn area; or take advantage of sitting on the pool deck. Here you can eat, play cards, etc., while enjoying the music. Please remember, chairs cannot be placed until after 11 am. Have a good time — enjoy the music and the stars overhead. ~ Doris SanFilippo Kelly Rae Band
