On a toasty July 1st, we had our annual Fourth of
July tournament. Even with temperatures in the 90s,
23 members of our pickleball group participated in
the event. Three games were played by each player
and each game consisted of random partners.
After some hard-played games, eight players
secured first and second winning positions. The
First Place Women's Winners were Julie Stayner and
Marilyn Sarchett. Second Place Women's Winners
were Sally White and Donna Lewis. The First Place
Men's Winners were Garrett Warman and Bruce
Lewis. Second Place Men's Winners were Michael
Flower and Perry White.
Residents interested in playing pickleball should
come out on Thursdays at 6 pm. Please be sure to
have on court shoes and, don't forget to bring lots
of water! Open play is on Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday mornings from 8 to 11 am. Open play for
private groups should be reserved at the front desk
in the Lodge.
