| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | AUGUST 2017 | 67 Friends we will miss We want to remember your loved ones in the "Friends We Will Miss" section, above, but we need your help. Please be sure to get us the information about their passing. Turn in any obituaries to the Main Clubhouse reception desk or send them electronically to SunLakesNews@yahoo.com. Raymond Fowler Our beloved friend, Raymond Fowler, passed away on July 6, 2017 after a battle with cancer. Ray was one of the original agents with Presley when Sun Lakes opened in 1987. In 2000, Ray joined the team at Sun Lakes Realty and in 2011 he retired from real estate. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Barbara Florece Luciano Our dear sweet mother and Nanny passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 16, 2017. Her kind heart and sweet spirit will be missed by us all. Barbara was an avid golfer and shared this passion for the game with her husband Charles (Chuck), well into their 'golden' years. Barbara and Chuck were married in 1971 and enjoyed their mountain home in Lake Arrowhead, CA for 22 years before moving to Banning for their retirement 25 years ago. She made many friends, but will especially be missed by her dear friends, Francesca and Ruden, who provided so much kindness and support. She was a wonderful example of a loving wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother to all of us and we know her generosity and affection touched many others in her community. We're all so grateful and blessed for the time we shared with her and will miss her dearly; knowing in our hearts she is playing golf with grandpa in the clouds above and watching over us. Barbara is survived by her children, Steven Victor and daughters, Sherry Rowley and Denise Wells; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law George Luciano and wife Jacqui. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles, her son, Larry Luciano; mother, Florece Brandes and father, William Morrison. The family would like to thank her primary care physician in Banning, CA, Dr. Khalil and the many staff members of the ICU Respiratory Care Unit at Intermountain Healthcare Hospital in Murray, UT for all the excellent care they provided. You are and always will be the wind beneath my wings - love you mom. Charles (Chuck) Miller passed away peacefully June 3, 2017 in Hemet, California at the age of 77. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gail, his daughter Laurie (John), sons Make (Lynn) and Mark (Patty) as well as grandchildren Jessica, Kayli, Hayden, and Riley. Chuck was born in LaGrande, Oregon to Rose Miller. Thanks to his extended family, Chuck overcame a difficult childhood finding a place in sports. Chuck always attributed much of his success in life to the coaches he had in his youth. After playing football at WSU, he went on to a long and storied career becoming the teacher and coach that he always admired. He taught and coached for 30 years in Spokane, WA and was inducted in the state and national wrestling halls of fame. Always a proud and loving father and grandfather, Chuck always enjoyed Christmas time the most and demanded the biggest tree and gave too many gifts to the kids. A fantastic role model and tireless giver Chuck was very much loved by his grandchildren. Chuck and Gail met at WSU and enjoyed sharing their lives, raising the kids and eventually retiring to Banning, CA. He enjoyed traveling and playing golf with all their new friends.
