international culture club On Thurs., Oct. 11, we will have another big party night as we celebrate an early Halloween. Many of our members attend in costumes and you will find a variety of them. You are encouraged to do so if you would like… you won't be alone. Global Affair will provide the music for dancing and listening pleasure starting at 6 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm. The buffet will be a witches brew of gutted chicken parts brewed in Satan's marinara sauce, black bone crunching tri tip in peppercorn sauce, monster garlic roasted mashed potatoes, cursed asparagus with devil's tongue (sliced red bell peppers). Preset at the table will be a salad of axe chopped lettuce salad with mushrooms, onion rings, tomatoes, bleu cheese crumbles and Italian or bleu cheese dressing. The buffet starts at 6:30 pm by table call. Devil's food cake for dessert. Sign ups ware on Thurs., Oct. 4, at 3 pm in the North Clubhouse. Cost is $20 for members. If you find you cannot attend after signing up, call Martie Steggel at 769-3217 for a take out dinner box. Info., Diane, 769-9308. international dancers We are a group of ladies that was formed over a year ago with the purpose of learning dances of different cultures for fun and for performing in our community and at other venues outside of Sun Lakes. We perform Chinese, Flamenco, Mexican Folkloric and Hawaiian dances. Our group also includes a singer who provides music during our costume changes. We have performed for Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Rialto Community Players Theatre, The Lakes, Lawrence A. Hutton Community Center, several clubs within Sun Lakes as well as Yucaipa. Our annual charity dinner and international fashion show fund raiser will be Sun., Dec. 16, to raise funds for charity. Ticket sales begin in November and more information will follow.
