library advisory committee Join us! It's that time of year when we are looking for new members. No previous library experience is necessary, so don't let that stop you! You may pick up an application at the receptionist's desk at the Main Clubhouse. Some computer experience, especially with Microsoft Office, is helpful. Please contact Socorro Castellano at 769-9581 if you have any questions. Now that summer has finally ended and more of us are probably staying around home, what a perfect time to grab a new read from the large selection we have in Sun Lakes. It could be a good time to just sit back, relax and read. Thanks once again to our wonderful volunteers who make it possible for the community to be able to enjoy all these great books. If you would like to join this illustrious group of volunteers, please call Peggy Inman at 845-8609. Additional thanks to our residents for their contributions to our libraries; we especially need large print and western volumes. Our book of the month for October is The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, by Rachel Fry. When 65 year old British retiree Harold Fry embarks on a 87 day, 627 mile walk across England to see an ailing friend, his quest goes viral and he finds himself leading a pack of fellow travelers worthy of The Cantebury Tales. But the true journey in this debut novel is into the nature of faith - and how a shift in points of view can unkink a lifetime of accrued regrets. computer club paisano club Members enjoyed a bountiful pot-luck at the September meeting, with entertainment by Sally Smelker and Rose Hermanson.
