Sun Lakes Quilters
Where has summer gone? It is nice to welcome
a few new members to our group. Besides the
weekly items we work on to donate we will soon
be addressing items for the craft fair which is the
first weekend in November. Even though we have
asked you not to leave donations of fabric and misc.
items at this time due to storage problems we are
accepting yarn as those bins are getting pretty
low. Please call us if you sew and have a couple of
unfilled days that you can lend a hand with simple
sewing projects, tracing and cutting out etc. There
are things you can do at home. If you have any
questions please give Gail a call at 797-3589.

Workshops Workshops Workshops!
Are you bored with your knitting ? Isn't it time to learn something
beyond garter stitch (knit, knit, knit, knit) or stockinette stitch (knit
one row, turn, purl one row turn, knit one row, turn, purl one row)
over and over ad nauseam?
A series of occasional workshops are being organized by our talented
& helpful members. The first workshop will be in September. The stitch being
covered is a beautiful classic and versatile one. It is a little challenging, but doable.
Basic knowledge only. Several gorgeous items can be made using this pattern.
These workshops will be presented at our regular time & place - Mondays at
12:30 pm in the North Clubhouse. The second workshop will cover a crochet stitch
or pattern, date to be arranged. If any of this appeals to you, come and join us on
Sept. 4. I know it's Labor Day, but wouldn't you rather be knitting? Any questions?
Call Mary Ann at 769-1095.
