| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2017 | 43 Bible Study Our Bible study group is non-denominational. All are welcome. We meet together every week for fellowship and study. On the first Wednesday of each month we meet for dinner before our regular meeting. Reservations for dinner are taken in the meeting the last Wednesday of each month. Bring your Bible, any version, and listen to or participate in our discussion of the evening topic. We're all learning together. We'd be delighted if you'd join us. We meet Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Have you been yearning to start writing that novel? Is this the year you create your story, pen your poem, solve your murder mystery? Come join us to learn the secrets of writing captivating stories, be it fiction or nonfiction, whatever you choose to share. Our members will listen gently and critique your writing. Some members are published authors, and other are novices who just want some practical advice and insight into preparing their manuscript. Remember, even the most famous novelists had to start somewhere, and this is the place for all you Sun Lakers. Join us the first Thursday (usually the first Monday but it has changed due to Labor Day) this month in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room at 12:30 pm. Our next meeting is Sept. 7. For more information, contact Roger Smith at 769-2808. We meet Sept. 21 at 1 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Meetings are on the first and third Thursday of each month. Our summer meetings (July, August, and September) are held only on the third Thursday of these months. The club is for persons of all computer skill levels. Each meeting will feature various topics and speakers. Handouts are given out for each presentation so you can take notes. This is a great way to share information and learn some of the ways in becoming an effective computer user. Upcoming topics: Sept. 21: Moving Digital data from phones and tablets to your computer. Oct. 5: Digital Afterlife. What happens to your digital accounts when you die. Oct. 19: Free Microsoft Office alternatives. Membership dues are $20 dollars per year per household. Guests are welcome. Info., Jerry Munnelly, 769-1787. Computer Club Happy Cookers Happy Cookers will present a special event called "Everything Tortillas" at our monthly meeting on Fri., Sept. 29. Volunteers will showcase all things made with and for tortillas, including appetizers, salads, soups, entrées, and desserts for fellow members to sample. We meet at 11 am in the South Clubhouse on the last Friday of each month, and we accept new members anytime. For membership information, contact Carolyn Wright at 797-3568; for event information, contact Gloria Peña at 210-0802.
