58 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2017 | Boy, this summer has been a hot and humid one. But, that has not stopped our die hard tennis players out on the courts. As of this writing, our beautiful tennis courts should be finished and all of us out playing again. I would like to thank the World Cup Team tennis captains, Lori, Carl, Carol & David for their dedication and the managing of their teams. You did a fantastic job and I appreciate it, as does the board for your participation and encouragement. Our breakfast at Wimbledon in the lounge was a huge success. It was done so elegantly. Advantage, service, fault, break, love – the basic elements of tennis are those of everyday existence, because every match is a life in miniature!" ~ Andre Agassi See you on the courts, be safe and have fun! Tennis Summer is here with full sunshine, but it still can be a perfect time for POP Tennis. We welcome anyone interested in the game to join us. Scheduled days of play are Tues.,Thurs., and Fri. from 8 to 10 am. On Sunday, the courts are open to everyone, but many POP Tennis players show up to play on Sunday at 8 am. During the summer heat we may start play unofficially at 7 am if courts are available. In addition, we may try for a few evenings when it is cooler-again depending upon court availability. Watch your email for updates and announcements. The courts at the Main Clubhouse are now finished and ready for use once again. Fences have been painted and new screens installed. The new purple court color should be awesome for play along with the new outside color. Stop by and see the NEW COURTS. In addition, stop by and check out our bulletin board updated monthly. If you have any questions about POP, please call Jeannie McGuire at 845-8817 or come visit the courts outside the Main Clubhouse.
