| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2017 | 5 Every month 23 residents have a meeting at the South Clubhouse on the second Thursday of the month. The meeting is important enough that the Board of Directors and the General Manager attend and participate. The meeting is the District Delegate Assembly meeting attended by Delegates who are your representatives and elected by you. They represent you before the Board and make recommendations for the betterment of life at Sun Lakes. Your District Delegate plans your District activities and publishes a newsletter to keep you informed as to what is going on in our complex. They are your channel of information to and from the Board of Directors. Do you know your District Delegate? Have you met your District Delegate? Here is a person, elected by you and the residents in your district, taking on the responsibility of representing you. All residents should make the effort of meeting him or her. The Delegate has an Alternate Delegate, also elected by you, to work with him/her. They put together a staff of people from your district to handle the communication with you. The Zone Captains work the disaster drills, usually deliver the newsletters, and help plan the events and parties in your district. If you have a question about anything at Sun Lakes and have no idea where you get the answer, ASK YOUR DELEGATE! Your District Delegate knows who to talk to, where to get the answers and the information will be accurate and true. We deal with the administration all of the time, they will help you as long as you are talking to the right person. The District Delegate Assembly is akin to the House of Representatives. We represent the homeowners of Sun Lakes. Our meetings are open to all residents. Our agenda contains speakers and reports from the administration, outsiders, the city of Banning, anyone that can keep us informed. You are invited to attend our Assembly meeting. Moreover, if you have a topic or subject you would like to have discussed, please contact your District Delegate and we will place it on the agenda. Our meetings are open to all, and there is an agenda item at the end of our meeting where residents can speak to the Assembly. Remember: Assembly Meeting, the second Thursday of each month at 2 pm in the South Clubhouse. Hope to see you attend our meeting soon!
