With the holidays right around the corner, what better way to shop for the special people in your life than taking a short trip to your Main Clubhouse Ballroom? Starting at 9 am on Fri., Nov. 3 come down and check out all the unique gifts and crafts that have been made by Sun Lakes residents. There is something for everyone and everything has been made with love. Admission is free and door prizes will be given away each day. Lottery will start on Oct. 2 and go through Oct. 8. The vendor table drawing will be on Mon., Oct. 9 at 8:30 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. COMMUNITY SHREDDING Fri., Nov. 10, 9 am-12 pm, Main Clubhouse parking lot. Do you have boxes of paper just lying around taking up space? If so, we have a solution for you. On Nov. 10 there will be a truck shredding papers on site at the Main Clubhouse for only $4 a box (standard bankers box please). This is a great way to get rid of those confidential papers that you no longer need without having to drive to a place and pay a large fee. No sign-ups are required. Just show up between 9 am and 12 pm with your boxes. For more information please contact the Recreation desk at 845-2191. DISTRICT TREE LIGHTING Thurs., Dec. 1, 5 pm, Main Clubhouse. Join the Recreation Department for a holiday kickoff! We will light the decorated District Christmas Trees in the front of the Main Clubhouse! Afterwards, come in the Ballroom for hot cider, hot chocolate, cookies, and holiday entertainment provided by Barber Shop Chorus, Tap Dance, Makua Hula Hawaiian Dance, Precision Stardust Dancers, International Dancers and a special performance from Spectrum Dance Studio in Beaumont. We will even be lucky enough to get a surprise visit from good old Saint Nick himself. So make sure you stop by to get your picture taken with him and let him know what you want for Christmas.
