The fun begins with a Buffet Lunch in the Sandwedge where you'll enjoy hearty portions of Prime Rib, Chicken Cordon Blue, Caesar Salad, Roasted Red Potatoes, Glazed Carrots, an assortment of breads and an Oreo Cheesecake for dessert. As always, you get your choice of coffee, iced tea or soda. You'll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy a bountiful buffet before hopping on the bus and heading to Huntington Harbour for the 55th Annual "Cruise of Lights." Every December, the residents spend days decking the halls for all to see as they cruise by. Hundreds of these exclusive homes, docks, decks and boats are adorned with twinkling lights, mechanical displays and Nativity Scenes. There's no prettier sight than the reflection of the light upon the calm waters of the channel. The narrated cruise lasts approximately 90 minutes and the boats offer inside and outside viewing. Bundle up and grab your camera, we're off to see the lights of Christmas in Huntington Beach. Please check into the Busroom starting at 2 pm, bus will depart at4:30 pm. SHOCKING! EXCURSION SIGN-UPS: All new excursions are not released for sign-up until the FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH BEGINNING AT 8 AM. If the 1st falls on a Saturday or Sunday then sign-ups will begin on the following Monday. If a holiday falls on the first day of the month, sign-ups will begin the next day. WAITING LIST POLICY: The waiting list is created by the Rec. Dept. for sold out events/excursions. This list is used (in order of registration) when the attendee has to cancel due to illness, doctor's appointment, etc. The waiting list is not used for additional sign-ups for secondary excursions that are scheduled due to their popularity. You can register up to 4 people (including yourself ) per check per household, payable to Sun Lakes Country Club. All Recreation Classes, Excursions and Special Events are open to residents only, unless otherwise specified.
