OCT. 21, SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN PARTY: This event is bound to be a cauldron full of fun. The ghoulish event begins at 5:30 pm at the South Clubhouse. The menu for dinner will include "Slimy worms in Bloody Sauce" (spaghetti with marinara sauce); "Ghoul's eyeballs" (meatballs); "Mildew Moss with Rancid Oily Water" (tossed Italian Caesar salad with croutons) and many more tasty morsels to tempt you. Gayle Medley will provide music for dancing and your "Walking Dead" moves. Cost for everything is $15 pp. BYOB and glasses. Come in costume or not. There will be prizes for costumes that are scariest, most original, funniest and most beautiful. Get your reservations in ASAP. Make your checks payable to YAH. Checks can be mailed or dropped off at 2496 Wailea Beach. Barbra Searcy and Donna Harrington are our contact persons for this event. NOVEMBER: Since no one came forward with a winning idea for a November activity, we will be dark for this month. DEC. 31, NEW YEARS EVE GALA: Start making plans for ringing in the New Year with the YAH at the South Clubhouse. BYOB cocktails from 8 to 8:30 pm followed by dinner. Dancing to the Crimson and Crow Band from 9 pm to 1 am. Cost is $35 pp and includes a dinner of Caesar salad, chicken piccata, grilled tri tip, roasted red potatoes, vegetable medley, rolls and dessert. There will be New Years Party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Raffle tickets will be sold at the door, $5 for six tickets will give you the opportunity to win a beautiful basket filled with many goodies valued at $75. A small portion of the monies will go to offset some out of pocket expenses for this party and the remainder of the funds will go towards next years New Years Eve Party as well. Just a reminder this is a BYOB party (and bring your glasses) open to members of the Young At Heart Club. Due to space we are limited to the first 100 Young At Heart members (reminder you must be a member as of Oct. 1 to be eligible to attend) and checks will only be accepted beginning Wed., Nov. 1. Checks are made payable to Young At Heart and are to be dropped off in the lock box by the front door at 1409 Birdie Drive beginning Nov. 1. If you wish to sit at a table with friends, please enclose all those checks into one envelope and state on the outside of the envelope the names that will be at your table. Tables seat 10. On Halloween night, all the goblins are out, the witches all cackle, and the ghosts fly about. It's Halloween so let's wear our "funniest, scariest or most beautiful" costume. Thomas is serving up his special Halloween dinner: Skinny Worms In Bloody Sauce (spaghetti with marinara sauce), Ghouls Eyeballs (Italian meatballs), Mildew Moss With Rancid Oily Water (tossed Caesar salad), Toad Slime, (green Jello-O with marshmallow and whipped cream), Vampire Stepping Stones (garlic bread), Mud Pie With Witch's Brew (chocolate mousse with whip cream). What could be better? All this for only $14; guests are $16. If you live in Sun Lakes, you may come as a guest one time only, and then you WILL WANT to join the club. Guests living outside of Sun Lakes and are friends of a resident are welcome at $16 pp. Make checks payable to Social Singles and drop your checks off at Pat Corrall's home, 5826 Lake Buena Vista, 769-0957. Oct. 27: DRAMA CLUB PRESENTS, 'CHATTERTON COUNTY CLUB,' $8. A hilarious night of senior comedy that we can all relate to." Show starts at 7 pm.
