Sun Lakes Quilters
Now that fall is upon us we look to the
holidays fast approaching. Our work now
centers on the coming Craft Fair the first
weekend in November and Christmas items
for San Gorgonio Hospital patients. Be sure to
look us up for those one-of-a-kind homemade
gifts for family and friends. For any new
residents that have moved in over the summer
and anyone looking for something new to try
you are always welcome to look in on us every
Tuesday from 12:45 to 2:30 pm in the Main
Clubhouse Arts and Crafts Room. Even though
we are not accepting donations of any kind
due to lack of storage space, we need yarn to
make lap quilts that are donated to Loma Linda
Hospital. Everything we make is donated to
local charities/organizations (i.e. San Gorgonio
Hospital, Pregnancy Center in San Bernardino,
ChildHelp, etc.) except certain items we make
to sell at the Craft Fair. If you sew and have
a couple of unfilled days that you can lend a
hand with simple sewing projects, tracing and
cutting out, etc., there are things you can do at
home if you can't spend the time with us. Call
Gail at 797-3589 if you have any questions.
