| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2017 | 15 Access Control Committee It's the start of the installation of the new RFID tag (below). We have made a start on installing the new RFID tags on some of the various committees and management vehicles as a "Beta" test for the upcoming transition to replace the old transponders. As mentioned in all of our previous articles, the overall recruitment process of the ACC team in getting residents to the Lodge will take time and will require patience on behalf of all our residents. Once the Beta test is approved, we will move full-speed-ahead to categorize and advise residents of the date and time they need to arrive at the Lodge car park for our team to collect the necessary registration forms, and to clean and install your new RFID tag on the headlamp of your vehicle. The actual process will be quick and painless, but we do need your cooperation in (a) arriving on the day requested (b) make sure you have your Registration Form filled out completely showing all the information requested on the form. A full description Registration Form will be sent to you ahead of time in a postal mailout to try and ensure that every resident can fill in this information and is aware of what is required before they arrive. Many Four Seasons residents have often complained about the lack of security within our community. While we all know that our gated community may not be completely failsafe due to breaches the golf course exposes, we still are paying (via a portion of our HOA fees) to maintain access control by using a contracted security firm to perform gate attendance and patrol our community streets. The Access Control Committee also continues to work diligently to improve processes that will provide greater safety for all of our residents – such as the RFID project mentioned above. Plus there are several other projects that we are working on to tighten up access control. Southwest Security was granted the security services contract effective July 31 and from the onset, they have faced a plethora of access issues caused mostly by residents who fail to list their guests and service vendors into the dwellingLIVE software prior to their arrival. We would like to remind our residents of the numerous ways you can get a guest or vendor into dwellingLIVE: 1. Establish your account on dwellingLIVE and enter the pass permission from your home PC. 2. Download the dwellingLIVE app onto your cell phone and enter passes using your contact list. 3. Establish your account in the Directory located at the main gate – fill out the form at the Lodge – you will be assigned a "code" for your account. The guest or vendor can then dial you up from the Directory at the gate using your code and then all you have to do is push "9" to open the gate for them to enter. This process is typically used for after hours when the main gate is not attended. 4. If you do not have a PC or cell phone, you can always come to the Lodge to enter your guests on a PC in the Computer Room. Or, ask a Lodge attendant to enter your guest(s) by going to the Lodge or calling the Lodge at (951) 325-8188. Please do not call the main gatehouse to have your guests entered into dwellingLIVE. It only interferes with the security officer's main responsibility, which is to manage the traffic and vet the non- residents for entry. Having to answer the phone to enter guests, and having to attempt to contact or call residents who have guests/vendors arrive without being put on the pass list, is very time consuming and will quickly back up the traffic, including traffic in the resident lane if an oversize vehicle has to be vetted there. In these situations people become very impatient and take their frustrations out on security who are only doing the best to protect our community. The backup in traffic will often block our neighbors in the KB homes from exiting their neighborhood, which is also not very neighborly of us. So, we are asking ALL residents to comply with having every single guest and/or service vendor entered into dwellingLIVE BEFORE they arrive to the gate. If they are not on the pass list, the guest/vendor will be turned away to contact their destination party and then wait for the resident to get them entered into dwellingLIVE before going back through the guest lane to be vetted for entry.
