22 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2017 | "Animals In Art!" Gallery Call: The Gallery Wall and Cabinet is open to all residents of Four Seasons to display their original art work. This January we have an animal art show planned. It may be a painting, drawing, ceramic, fabric, jewelry, photo or any work of art that has an animal theme to it. The works go up on Jan. 2, 2018 at 2 pm and come down Mar. 1, 2018 at 2 pm. We will make every attempt to show at least one of your works or more as space allows. You must fill out the information on the sign-up sheet in the Art Room. The A R T Group booth at the Fall Marketplace Festival: Many of you may have heard that we are having a Fall Marketplace event here at Four Seasons on Sat., Oct. 28, at the Lodge. This event is to acquaint all of our residents with the many committees, clubs, organizations and activities we have to offer our residents. The A R T Group is one of the many clubs that will have a booth. Art projects include The Fine Art Show, our yearly community art work piece and the Gallery Wall and Cabinet. These projects and other events rely on the generosity of our artists and volunteers. This booth needs helpers to set up and work at the Marketplace. We want to share our artistic talents and all that we have to offer with our friends and community. A sign-up sheet is in the Art Room. Want to display a photo of your art work at the both? Print out, up to five photos, of your original art work, any media, on regular computer paper and place them in the green folder in the Art Room. We will hang them from wire strung on the pop-up tent with clothes pins to showcase the talent we have here in Four Seasons. We will not return these prints, if you want them back please stop by the booth at 2:30 pm to pick them up. We could also use use any photos of past art events you may have taken to display at the booth. More Art Classes: Drawing classes, acrylic/oil painting and more run in the Art Room. Additional classes are starting in October. Please check the Art Room for all class start dates and sign-up sheets. One day art classes and demonstrations are always posted in the Art Room as they come up. Writer for articles in the Herald: Do you like to write? I've been writing most of the articles for a number of years now and would like to step down from this post. Would you like to write about our art community and events and the people here in Four Seasons for the Herald? You gather the art information and write the article on the activities.
