Most retail stores start setting up displays for Thanksgiving and Halloween right away this time of year — putting me in the holiday mood. I'm usually in a pretty good state of mind but when the temperature outside gets comfortable, well that's a nice bonus. Most people look forward to the beginning of summer, but can't wait for it to end. As I was raking the many leaves in my yard, I started thinking about songs of fall. Here are a few that came to mind. 1. The Autumn Leaves by Roger Williams 2. The Autumn Of My Life by Bobby Goldsboro 3. September Song by Jimmy Durante 4. September by Earth Wind & Fire 5. October Country by October Country 6. Autumn In New York by Ella Fitzgerald 7. Last Days Of Summer by The Cure 8. Leaves That Are Green by Simon & Garfunkel 9. Harvest Moon by Neil Young 10. Shine On Harvest Moon by Mitch Miller 11. Summer's Gone by Paul Anka 12. It Was A Very Good Year by Frank Sinatra Download a few of these songs to your cell phone and listen to them while you rake the leaves in your own yard. Or start thinking of similar songs to sing at Sun Lakes' "Goodtime Karaoke" with Barb, Rosie & D.J. Blast. We were so pleased to meet and greet a few new folks to our Karaoke who would attend Bob MacKinnon's Karaoke shows here at Sun Lakes. We hope you too will join us for the next events. All shows start at 5:30 pm and end at 9 pm. So bring in the season with a song on your lips and friendship in your heart. As usual, we will keep a mic on for you. 28 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2017 | Karaoke Group Chorale The Chorale of Sun Lakes presents its Holiday Concert Series, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," on Thurs., Nov. 30 and Sat., Dec. 2 at 7 pm, and Sun., Dec. 3 at 3 pm.
