SLCC Golf & Pro Shop News By Al Vallecorsa, PGA Director of Golf Divot Doctors Golf Tournament and Lunch, Nov. 20 at 12 pm. If you are a divot doctor on either golf course we hope you can join us. Last Pass Putters of the year will be on Nov. 10 at 2 pm, at the Main Clubhouse putting greens. Pass Putters is a group that gets together once a month and putts 18 holes. You will keep score, and play individually and as a team based on monthly events. This is open to any Sun Lakes homeowner that wants to try and improve their putting and meet new residents. There is a minimal fee for an apron to hold your ball, pencil, scorecard and a "Pass Putter" Sun Lakes shirt. North practice area opens up from over-seeding on Nov. 3. LEGS 9 and Dine will be at the Main course on Nov. 15 at 2 pm. Both pro shops will be closed for inventory on Nov. 29 at 1:30 pm. Something to consider: When leaving the concrete path with your golf cart we would ask that you exit before the path ends. By "scattering" this will relieve wear spots just as the concrete ends and the turf starts. After the carts have reached the turf they should drive down either side of the fairway then cut to your ball on a 90 degree angle. All golfers know this, but the reality is that recently we spent some time watching 60 players on the 15th hole and eight percent of play did it correctly. I would like to thank you for your continued support in taking the carts back to the cart path at the yellow lines in front of the greens and for following golf course rules and signage. There is a drop in violations. As a reminder there is a dress code when using the golf course and practice areas. Should a guest come to Sun Lakes, the resident is personally responsible for that guest.
