| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2017 | 41 The Big Band Dance Club will meet Thurs., Nov. 16 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom at 5:30 pm. Music will be provided by Main Street Swing Band. They will be playing all types of music. We will be announcing the new board for 2018 at this event. As usual you may purchase beverages and/or snacks. If you don't dance, come and enjoy the company of others and the music. We are not a dance club, just people who enjoy good music and wonderful companionship. Entry fee is $10 for members and $15 for non-members each month. You may direct any questions to Mike and/or Carol at 845-5962. We hope to see many of you there. Big Band Dance 80s Plus Club Our September dinner featured the fabulous Nancy Ford for a real treat! She sang Chattanooga Choo Choo, Sugar in the Morning, God Bless America, among others to a very appreciative crowd. But when she sang the aria "Nessun Dorma" from the opera Turandot, you could have heard a pin drop. Nancy's talent is outrageous. Thank you for performing for us, Nancy! Those in attendance loved you! We had a lovely lasagna catered meal from Johnny Russo's. November's meal will be the whole Thanksgiving spread which many look forward to all year. Hope to see you then. November and December meetings are both catered and both will be held in the South Clubhouse. Please get your reservations and checks for $11 pp to Sandee at (909) 303-9044 by the end of the month prior. Spouses and caregivers are welcome to attend as well. Many members have brought their visiting children or other out of town visiting guests as well. For information, call Barb at 845-7904. The Stardust Dancers are hard at work learning two new routines. "Hello Dolly," and "Phantom" to be performed at the July Show. A scholarship to the San Jacinto College Dance Courses will be offered to a student at Banning High. We will have a Tommy Bahama Fashion Show in January. New students are now being accepted for the Stardust Dancer classes. New students will choose the dances or modeling classes they wish to participate in. A trip to the Casa Blanca Resort in Mesquite is scheduled for February. Everyone is welcome. A fun-filled trip complete with a Vegas Show each night. Contact Evelyn at 845-7199.
