| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2017 | 61 My goodness have we had horrific tragedies around the world. Our hearts and prayers go out to Florida, Puerto Rico, and all the cities that have been affected by Hurricane Irma and Maria. Also to Mexico for the terrible earthquakes that have been devastating to their country. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the victims and the families of the heinous murders in Las Vegas. We stand united that love will overcome and help in the healing. Our tennis club had an exciting weekend from Sept. 28 - 30 for the Men's Doubles Tournament. Michelle Carter, Tournament Chairperson, had such a fun player's party on Thursday before the matches began. Music performed by Tin Man's Heart was enjoyed by all. There was gourmet pizza, salad and dessert. We had great men players that were amazing to watch. The stands were full of spectators enjoying three days of competitive but fun tennis. Congratulations to Ralph Rabago and Mike Moore, A division winners and finalists Phil Hazelton and Pat Carter. Congratulations to the B division winners Tom Whittington and Steve Van Loon and finalists Kelly Curtis and Bob Walter. Thank you to all the teams that participated. A special thank you goes out to Michelle Carter for a great weekend.
