FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2017 13 One event I really want you to make note of is the Veterans Day event that we're holding on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 4 pm in the Amphitheater. Read my full article (page 15) covering the program for some extra background and information. It's always such an important gesture to come together as a community to thank and honor those who have served our country. Four Seasons has always been a veteran-loving community and has always gone the extra mile to be sure our veterans feel thanked and appreciated. Be sure to come and join with us for this opportunity to show our gratitude to our military veteran residents. The next national holiday we will all be celebrating is Thanksgiving. I'm going to get a little sappy on you, but I want to give a little thanks back and to express my sincere gratitude for being able to work here and be a part of so many of your lives and families. This month celebrates 10 incredible years of being your Activities Director. I have had the privilege of helping to organize some of your weddings (Wayne and Cheryl Staples being the first Four Seasons wedding here in the community), welcoming some of your new grandchildren with baby showers, celebrating long-time wedding anniversaries, retirements and sadly crying with you as we bid farewell to loved ones with Memorial Services. We have partied together at HOA, Social Committee and Taste d'Vine events and we have cheered each other on at Fourth of July Club Competitions. I have been able to sing, act, dance and rejoice with you in PAC and in the Amphitheater Production Group and the frosting on top is that I have learned so much from the brilliant residents I've worked with on various committees. This year as I gather around my Thanksgiving table, it's you that I will be thinking of. I'm incredibly thankful for 10 of the best years in my life. The next event I want to let you know about is our Holiday Extravaganza Show this year called, "Four Seasons Home For the Holidays." We will have a holiday choral presentation from the Four Seasons Singers as well as a professional special guest performance from Joanne LaPointe. This show is sure to get you in a festive spirit. The grandkids and your friends are invited and there is no fee to attend. There will be required free tickets to enter, so be sure that you pick up tickets for your preferred show date. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Lodge desk on Monday, Nov. 20. The show dates are Friday, Dec. 1 or Saturday, Dec. 2. Refreshments will be served at both shows. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I'll see you around the Lodge!
