FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2017 5 By Jeri Mupo, General Manager MANAGER'S REPORT UMBRELLAS A couple of months ago, I reminded the residents about the umbrella rules. I would like to commend those residents that read my article! I received a number of questions regarding the requirement to close the umbrellas at the end of each day. As you know we live in a very windy town. The rule was created when a number of umbrellas were left open and then when the winds came they were blown into neighbors' yards and the common area. For the safety of our residents and protection of personal property we remind you to close the umbrellas at the end of each day. CODE OF CONDUCT Our Community Guidelines include a Code of Conduct for the Board, Committees and volunteers. I encourage all of the residents to review and also follow these rules. I have received a number of comments on how our speakers and guests are treated while at our community. I thank you in advance for your cooperation. "All members of the Four Seasons at Beaumont Board of Directors, Association committees and volunteers working on behalf or in the interests of the Association shall abide by the standards set forth in this Code of Conduct. The code requires that all the above shall: 1. Conduct themselves in an ethical and professional manner at all times in speech, actions and written work. 2. Not abuse the power of their office to conduct personal business or use Association resources for their own gain. 3. Not place unreasonable or unethical demands on anyone. 4. Not disclose or abuse privileged information gained as a result of holding positions within the Association. In the event that this code is violated, the Board of Director's corrective action shall range from a reprimand up to and including dismissal from duties. Note: A member of the Board of Directors may only be dismissed by a recall of the membership in accordance with the Bylaws, Article 6, Section 6.3." WEEDS IN THE STREETS One of the responsibilities for the landscape contractors is to periodically spray the weeds in the curb and street areas. With the unpredictable weather lately, the weeds can and will pop up in between these maintenance periods. In order to keep our community looking as neat and tidy as possible, if you could take a quick moment and remove the random weed it would be greatly appreciated! STATUARY, POTTED PLANTS, LIGHTING, OUTDOOR YARD AND WALL ART – REMINDER! The Rules & Regulations Committee would like to remind all residents to comply with Architectural Guidelines, Section H(8) – Statuary, Potted Plants, Lighting, Outdoor Yard and Wall Art which states: "Any items such as statuary, potted plants, lighting, and art décor proposed for the front yard area must be noted on your Property Improvement Application (Exhibit A) and approved by the ARC. Front yard shall remain in uncluttered condition." In addition, per the Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs) it is the owners responsibility to keep their property, including all improvements and decorations in good condition. This would include placing a saucer underneath a potted plant, replacement of décor or artificial material that has faded or fallen into disrepair. Thank you for your continued participation in keeping the Four Seasons community looking pristine! DOLLARS AND CENTS At the Oct. 13 Board Meeting the Board approved the following items: • Coronado/Four Seasons Circle plant installation: $1,950 • Summit Horseshoe Pit plant installation: $1,116 • Summit planter plant installation: $2,032 • Social Committee supplies: $2,163 CORRECTION The byline for "Piper," the subject of last month's Pet of the Month article (p. 56), was incorrect.
