10 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2017 Hi, we're Gracie, Georgia, Gidget and Holly. We are three Papillons and a Mini Yorkie Terrier, otherwise known as the Glanville Pack. Papillon is the French word for "butterfly" and we are so named because of our butterfly ears. We are 10, 8, 6 and 1 years old respectively. Mom, Jeanne Glanville Zarr, thinks she's the leader of our pack. We let her think so because it makes her happy. Now a little about each of us. I'm Gracie, the cute black, white with a little grey Papillon (second from right). I'm the oldest of the pack and the first Papillon in the family. I'm pretty sure that makes me extra special! Being the oldest, I keep the youngsters in line. They know I'm the boss so they don't make a peep when I snore like a locomotive at night. See the dog posing perfectly? That's me, Georgia (second from left). I'm a tri color Phalene (a Papillon whose ears don't stand up like a butterfly. Phalene means "moth" in French.) I am the ideal dog - quiet and sweet. I'm so nice my Mom had me certified as an emotional support dog for anyone who needs to be loved. I guess that includes my sisters too! Wait, wait, it's me Gidget, the brandy and white gal (on the right)! I'm the pretty one and I even sing "I love you" to very special people. I was rescued by my Mom and I need lots of attention. So if you don't have anybody to play with then I would be your gal! Psst… Hi, I'm Holly the Mini Yorkie (on the left). I may be the smallest of the pack but don't let my size fool you. I'm in charge and I'll play all day and night. Mom says Papillons are known for being very intelligent and self assured. Well, I may be small in size but I am big in personality. Mom says I'm a feisty, loving companion. As you can imagine, we keep Mom pretty busy, but she tells us every day that the love of a pet is second only to the love of a child.
