FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2017 13 Happy holidays everyone! December is a flurry of events and parties, proving once again that we are the premier Active Adult Community. To start with, we have our big Holiday Extravaganza Show on Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2 at 6:30 pm, doors open at 6 pm. Please be sure you eat before you come, because the seating will be set for theater seating only. Hopefully you have already picked up your free tickets at the Lodge desk in order to gain entry. However, if you haven't, call the front desk and let them know how many tickets you're looking for so that they can put you on the waiting list. There will inevitably be those who can't make it, so don't give up. On Saturday, Dec. 2, there will be the addition of a super cute and fun Golf Cart Parade! Anyone with a golf cart is welcome to attend and enter the "Most Festive Golf Cart Competition." There will be a Smitty's Bistro Gift Certificate award for the winner. All golf carts need to be lined up at the Lodge front door round-about for judging at 4:30 pm. The winner will be announced at 5 pm. After the prize is awarded there will be a Golf Cart Parade through the community, stopping at each one of the community facilities to show off all of the awesome golf carts. It'll be a fun prelude to the Saturday evening show at the Lodge. Be sure to check in with the Let's Dance Club, AACC, and Wine Club if you are interested in going to one of our three huge holiday dinner galas and, of course, be sure to see if you can still get a ticket or two to attend the New Year's bash of the century at the Lodge. If you like magic, you'll really appreciate the annual Holiday Magic Show in the Lodge Ballroom on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 pm. This is a free event and worth every penny (ha ha ha)! The International Brotherhood of Magicians will be putting on this great show and they may end up with a guest magician from the Magic Castle as they did earlier. We have had some incredible shows, so you don't want to miss this one. Grandkids are welcome to attend. On Saturday, Dec. 16 we have two special events for you. First is the Terry Fears Holiday Home Tour located on 1653 Lewis Creek. This is the "over-the-top" holiday house that everyone looks forward to visiting each year. Everyone is welcome to get this thrilling shot of Christmas cheer. It costs $5 per person to take the tour and all proceeds go to Carol's Kitchen to feed the homeless. What a great way to give and get at the same time. Have a fabulous holiday season and we'll look forward to all the great times to come in 2018!
