36 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2017 Counter Culture Cinema Please note that there will be only one screening this month due to the Christmas holiday. Our only screening this month, on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 6 pm, is the film My Love, Don't Cross that River (S. Korea 2014, 1 hr. 26 min., English subtitles). Here is a brief description from Amazon.com: "A New York Times Critics' Pick and blockbuster in its native Korea, where it would go on to become the country's most successful film of all time (over $34M at the Korean box office), My Love, Don't Cross that River presents an unforgettable story of true love that transcends both generations and cultures. 100-year-old lovebirds, Jo Byeong-man and Kang Kye-yeol, have been inseparable companions for 76 years. Observing this fragile couple for 15 months, director Moyoung Jin acts as a fly-on-the-wall, capturing the tender moments of their twilight days as the two face the inevitable reality that their time together will soon be approaching an end." All of our screenings are followed by lively discussion about the film; we'd love to have you join us. The Lodge Theatre has very limited seating, so if you're interested in our screenings, come early; we hope to see you there. Please note that all films announced are subject to availability. If you have any questions about the Counter Culture Cinema Club or want to recommend a film, please email Micki Rosen at michelesrosen@gmail. com. ~ Micki Rosen We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am to discuss topics about technological tools and applications that have become part of our world. The meetings are open to everyone and we welcome questions and suggestions for future meeting topics. We try to announce the current month's topic via email in advance of the meeting. Come on out and enjoy our informative discussions. ~ Howard Lyon Computer Technology Cheers and Salud from the Taste d'Vine Wine Club. This is the time of year to celebrate, smile, create new memories and joyfully remember old ones. This year we tasted many different wines and varietals, discussed food and wine pairing, gained knowledge about various wine regions and styles, and stretched our senses and brains with fun and games. 2018 will be an exciting year for the Taste d'Vine Wine Club. As your Wine Club President for the past four years, it is with great pleasure to welcome Terry Hall as your new President of the Taste d'Vine Wine Club beginning January 2018. I want to thank everyone for your help and support during my Presidency. Most important, it is due to you, the amazing members of the Taste d'Vine Wine Club, that has made it the premier club that it is today! Remember… Wine makes daily living easier, less hurried, with fewer tensions and more tolerance. It is with this thought that the Taste d'Vine Wine club wishes you a joyous holiday season and a "Wine"derful New Year! Info., Gracy Luna, (951) 769-6337. ~ Gracy Luna Taste d'Vine
