| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2017 | 15 The Board received a request from Chef Francisco to close the Bistro after the Sunday Brunch which closes at 1 pm on the second Sunday of the month. Slow business does not warrant being open, so the Board granted Francisco's request. If business picks up, that decision can be rescinded. Janet Hester (lodge attendant) did the "Spooky Halloween" name draw for October. The lucky winning name drawn is Eileen Smith. She won "Free Brunch for Two" at the Bistro. Congratulations Eileen! Please remember: if you need catering for your holiday party or any event, please contact the Bistro Catering Liaisons (not Francisco). Marilyn Covey, (951) 599-0880 or Patt Gilliland (951) 599-0456. Please call after 10 am, and leave a message if you don't immediately get an answer. Thank you, your Bistro Committee. Bistro Committee Landscape Committee The work of trimming trees throughout the community has been completed by Artistic. In addition, have you noticed the first phase of the landscape restoration in front of the Lodge since it has been completed? If you haven't noticed, please take a look. The second phase of the restoration in front of the Lodge will be completed in late winter or early spring as weather permits. A few fall landscaping tips recommended by Artistic are as follows: 1) Pull weeds now and you'll have fewer weeds next season. 2) Seed and fertilize as fall is the ideal time to give your lawn the TLC it needs after the heat of our summer. 3) Keep your grass at two inches tall throughout the fall. 4) Give trees and shrubs a deep watering after the leaves on the trees drop and just before turning the outside water down or off. 5) Cut most perennials back close to the ground. A big thank you to all the folks that stopped by our table to chat during the Marketplace event. It was nice to hear all the wonderful comments from our homeowners. We also learned that some homeowners are confused as to where to go if you wish to make landscape changes to your home. If you are a Legends homeowner the Landscape Committee has jurisdiction over your landscape requests for change. All other homeowners, make your requests for landscape changes with the Architectural Review Committee before starting your work. Always, if you have any questions or concerns our front desk at the Lodge will gladly assist you. This has been a very busy year for our Landscape Committee with all of our members donating their time to make sure we maintain the beauty of our community and plan new projects to improve our appearance even more. We want to wish all of our homeowners and your families a wonderful holiday season.
