10 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2017 | Our dumpsters at the clubhouses have been overflowing with resident's personal household items. This is an issue because there is not enough room for the everyday clubhouse janitorial waste. These dumpsters are for the clubhouse use only. Residents are not permitted to use these dumpsters for their personal items. This has become a serious safety issue to our employees. If they cannot safely access the container, the chance of injury greatly increases. Each time Waste Management finds the dumpster overfilled, Sun Lakes is charged overage fees. These fees ultimately affect all of our residents at Sun Lakes. Furthermore, it is an aesthetics issue. Overfilled containers are unsightly, and create an environment attractive to unwelcome critters. Our goal is to diligently work to keep our community a safe, well- maintained and a beautiful place to live. We're asking everyone to be considerate when they are looking for a way to dispose of their unwanted waste. Banning Waste Management offers three FREE bulk pick-ups to each household per year. It's very simple to schedule a pickup; just call Waste Management at (800) 423- 9986 at least 24 hours before our regular trash day (Sun Lakes trash day is Tuesday, so you can call the Friday or Monday before). Please note the following municipal code and the penalties: PC 374.3: Unlawful to dump or cause to be dumped on public or private properties. Infraction cost of $250 to $10,000 for each day in violation. ~ Mark Schleiden, Director of Operations RESIDENTS: STOP USING THE CLUBHOUSE DUMPSTERS FOR YOUR PERSONAL TRASH
