Diane Giambeluca expertly mixed and matched 12 players in a random draw so that all players were paired with different partners, regardless of skill level, for five sets consisting of four games each. The participants were: Melanie Bofto, Phillip Brealey, Mary Ellen Brogdon, Rosemary Calomese, Vladimir Dimitron, Jerry Giambeluca, Gary Hashbarger, Dianne Heard, Dennis Hogge, Wang Lim, Belinda Stopa and Dave Yang. As seniors, just being fortunate enough to play tennis is validation that we are all winners. However, the players whose combined scores netted them first, second and third place winners were: Dennis Hogge, Jerry Giambeluca and Mary Ellen Brogdon, respectively. Special thanks go out to the Melanie Bofto who prepared an abundant assortment of healthy, delicious snacks to keep players and spectators fueled throughout the morning.
