Christmas Holiday Dinner Dance
District 22 invites all Sun Lakes residents to our Christmas Holiday Dinner Dance on Tues., Dec. 18, 5 - 10 pm, in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Enjoy the music of Bad Influence while celebrating the season with friends and neighbors… you can even win prizes! Menu choices include pork with cabernet sauce, chicken with herb stuffing, or a vegetarian dish. Again, EVERYONE is welcome! Cost is only $27.50 pp. RSVP to Sara, 769-7491, on or before Dec. 10.
HELP DIST. 21 KEEP OL' GLORY FLYING! Wayne Johnson hikes up the 3,098 ft. hill behind Sun Lakes named Crystal Peak, to replace the wind tattered flags. He replaces the flag about three times a year, mostly at his own expense. Some 21ers have donated them… Teri Howe and Kathy Hoeke who donated memorial flags that came back in shreds, once with only an inch strip of fabric left.
Wayne has been doing this for ten years, and Dist. 21 has decided to pay for one flag a year. He loves going up there, but has been hiking up there a long time and needs our support and help. If any individual or group would be interested in donating a 3' x 5' flag or taking charge of the flag, call him at 845-4692. Thank you Wayne, for doing this unsung duty all these years!
