| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2018 | 21 Mah Jongg Club The Mahjong club held their annual holiday party (photos above) on Dec. 2 in the Multipurpose Room. We enjoyed wonderful food and drink provided by our members and shared in a fun evening. Mahjong is a challenging but fun game dating back to 500 BC in China and played mainly by men. We have one active guy in our group and would like to encourage more men to come and check us out! We play every Monday and Thursday in the Multipurpose Room from 1 to 3:30 pm. Stop by if you would like to observe and if you would like to learn to play. We have written instructions and experienced players to help you. We also have social events such as monthly birthday luncheons and holiday parties. This is a fun group and we would love to have you join us! Any questions call Mila Bodrov, (951) 223-3338 or Marilyn Fields, (619) 892-1128. Hand & Foot What is it they say, "new year, new you"? Being a "new you" maybe it is time to try something "new" and join our Hand & Foot card group. We play every Wednesday in the multi-purpose room promptly at 11:30AM so come a little early to get a seat. If you don't know how to play, we will teach you in a few minutes. You don't have to have a partner, we will provide one for you. Our group has been playing for over six years and we are still going strong, so come join us. Bring a snack to share and a smile on your face. For more information call Pat Hall (951) 599-4687 or email pjhall@prodigy.net. Mexican Train All aboard for an evening of fun and games! I am so excited to see so many new people join our Mexican Train group. If you don't already know how to play the game, not a problem; we have many seasoned players who are eager to teach you. Our station is located in the Lodge Multipurpose Room and departure time is every Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Early arrival is suggested to ensure a good seat. For more information, contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or misserdog@outlook.com. Hope to see you there! Fun & Games Scrummage Scrummage is not the name of a game; it is a new name for the Scrabble Club. We still enjoy playing Scrabble, but expanded our horizons to include other games as well. Some of the new games we've been playing include Rummikub, Farkel, Five Crowns and Sequence. If you enjoy playing word games or have a family favorite that you would like to share, please come join us. Our primary objectives are to have a good time, learn some new games and keep our brains active. We meet on Monday afternoons at 3:30 pm in the Lodge Multipurpose Room, so come find out what we are all about. For more information, contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or misserdog@outlook.com. Bid Whist Club The Bid Whist Club celebrated Christmas(above) by filling a barrel with food for the Community Pantry, instead of exchanging gifts. Bid Whist meets the first Friday of every month from 2 to 5 pm. For more information contact LaDean Hatcher, (952) 677-7166. Bridge Club Wanted! Bridge players… we meet Tuesday at 1 pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the Game Room. Come have some fun with us! Please be early — don't be late! Call Annette Smith for info: (951) 663-0949. Poker Mondays and Thursdays at 12 pm in the Multipurpose room. Come join us! Double Deck Pinochle Join us Fridays at 10 am in the Lodge Multipurpose Room. We are a small group hoping to expand. Don't know how to play Double Deck Pinochle? We will teach you. It is a lot of fun. For more information, contact Dick Tarpening (951) 766-7613.
